Versions, undo and restore

Supacode saves a version after every AI change and every edit you save in the code editor. You can undo the last change from the chat, preview any older version, and restore it without deleting history. You can also restore a single file, name a checkpoint, or start a new project from a version.

Steps

Restore an earlier version

  1. Open Versions

In the studio, open the Versions tab. Each version shows what changed and when.

  2. Preview first

Open a version to see it running before you restore it.

  3. Restore

Restore the whole version, or just one file from it. Restoring adds a new version on top, so nothing is lost.

  4. Undo from the chat

To roll back only the last change, use Undo on that message in the chat.

Questions

Does restoring delete newer versions?

No. A restore is saved as a new version, so you can always go forward again.

Can I download a version?

Yes. Download any version as a zip, or start a new project from it.

What about database changes?

Restoring code doesn't undo a migration that has already run on your database. Supacode warns you when you restore past one.
